My Myth was "Eggs can stand on their ends during the vernal equinox".

The Majority of the people that I Collected data from believe that you can not stand an egg up straight during the vernal equinox.  Eight people said NO, seven people said Yes, and six people were unsure of this statement.  Only one female that is age 15 is unsure.  Two males who are age 14 are also unsure.  This statement is believed to be untrue by 14 year old male, and also four females, age 14.  Two males who are 14 think that this statement is true along with one female age 14 and 3 females age 14.  Three more people, females, age 14 are unsure if this statement is true or false.

This myth is false.  It is true that you can Balance an egg on end during the vernal equinox (the time at which the sun crosses the plane of the equator towards the relevant hemisphere, making day and night of equallength. It occurs about March 21 in the Northern hemisphere), but it is still just as true that you can also balance it any other time of the year just as easily.  People believe this because balancing an egg on its end is not something you would normally do.  But when they hear this myth they decide to try it  during the vernal equinox, but not any other time of the year and when they get the results they were looking for in their experiment, even without enough evidence, they believe this urban legend when the fact really is that there is no scientific evidence to back this statement up.
